Ally McCoist admits he may have got a bit carried away with an incredulous commentary reaction to Rangers' being denied a potential Europa League winner against Borussia Dortmund.
The Ibrox legend was flabbergasted Ryan Kent's goal to put Giovanni van Bronckhorst's ahead on the night was ruled out by VAR.
Rangers progressed 6-4 on aggregate anyway in one of the most significant European results in the club's history.
McCoist confessed earlier on Friday that he'd received a telling off from his mum after letting rip live on-air during Thursday's match.
And, on reflection, he reckons he might have gone "over the top".
He laughed on BT Sport's Scottish Football Extra: "It's common knowledge I was driving home last night and I received a text from my 94-year-old mother asking me to calm down when decisions go against you.
"I have to tell you, I feel I did go slightly over the top in my reaction to that goal being disallowed!
"However, I 100 per cent stand by it. And once again, I called it as soon as I saw it, without the aid of a replay!"
Earlier in the show, McCoist had appeared on-air with host Darrell Currie - but there was no sign of co-pundit and Celtic legend Chris Sutton in the early stages following a famous night for Rangers and a dreadful one for his old club.
Ange Postecoglou's side were dumped out of the Europa Conference League by Bodo/Glimt and McCoist suspected his punditry pal had given it a miss for the evening.
But he eventually did appear - sick bucket in hand.
Sutton said: "Don't worry, I'm here, sick bucket and all, I've had this all night!
"I mean, what an evening..."
