Ally McCoist reckons Rangers' issues are not 'rocket science' and believes there's a real concerns from fans that the gap with Celtic is going to get BIGGER.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is under increasing pressure after defeat to St Johnstone in the Sunday lunchtime kick-off left them trailing Ange Postecoglou and his Hoops side by seven points in the title race after they responded to a Dundee United 87th minute leveller by firing two goals to win 4-2 at Parkhead on Saturday afternoon.
Ibrox hero and talkSPORT host McCoist complimented Celtic for the resilience to go on and take all three points from the position they found themselves in and claimed 'they've got something about them' after goals in the 90th and 92nd minute. He also shared his concerns over the fact Rangers have lost Calvin Bassey, Joe Aribo and Nathan Patterson and not replaced the trio with anything like the quality or physicality they all possessed.

Rangers fans made their thoughts and feelings known loud and clear to skipper James Tavernier at McDiarmid Park yesterday following the result with the games coming thick and fast with Hearts visiting Govan on Wednesday before an away clash at St Mirren ahead of the World Cup break that comes into play after the Paisley meeting.
Sharing his views on air, McCoist told talkSPORT listeners: “I’ve said for a while now and I don’t think it’s rocket science. We’ve lost players that were capable of getting a team to a Europa League Final and we’ve not replaced them with anything like the same quality or the same physicality.
“We lost [Calvin] Bassey for great money - £22million - to Ajax. [Joe] Aribo’s away to Southampton, [Nathan] Patterson away to Everton These were definitely excellent players but also had a physicality about them. It’s quite simple; they’ve not been replaced to the standard of football has been nothing like as good as it was last season.
“But the problem Rangers have got now is that they're seven points behind Celtic. In typical Celtic fashion - and that’s a compliment - lost a goal to make it 2-2 round about the 89th minute and still found time to score two goals because they’ve got something about them. There’s a general concern and a real worry from the fans that the gap is going to get bigger, rather than smaller.”
