'Allow Ronaldo to go' - Manchester United fans react after Cody Gakpo masterclass for PSV

Manchester United fans have been sharing their reactions after another Cody Gakpo masterclass for PSV Eindhoven on Sunday.

On Saturday, PSV director Marcel Brands confirmed that United had contacted Gakpo in August over a move to Old Trafford. Brands claimed that the late approach for the winger had disrupted his start to the season.

"Cody has had a difficult preparation with us because he has spoken with Manchester United," he told Voetbal Primeur. "They didn't come until mid-August and it didn't go through.

"I even think Cody wouldn't have left at the end of the transfer window if the right amount had been offered. There has been no bid that approached the lower limit of what we agreed with Cody."

If United's interest in Gakpo had affected the 23-year-old, he certainly did not let it show on the pitch so far this season. In just 13 appearances in all competitions, the PSV captain has scored 10 goals and grabbed nine assists.

His latest contributions to this tally came on Sunday as he notched another goal and three assists in a 4-3 thriller against Feyenoord. The form which Gakpo is showing could lead to United going back in for the talented winger in January, especially if he is called up for the World Cup.

Plenty of Reds fans are watching Gakpo's form intently and they shared their reactions to his performance on Twitter. Here is what some of them had to say.
