Hard drugs, gold bullion and prohibited weapons have been seized and eight men arrested during raids across Sydney targeting a crime syndicate, police say.
The raids on Wednesday led to the seizure of 12.5kg of heroin, 8kg of methylamphetamine, 10kg of cannabis and about $360,000 cash.
One of the weapons seized was a pellet gun disguised as an iPhone.
Eight men aged from 29 to 63 years were arrested in North Bondi, Zetland, Burwood, Wiley Park, Concord West, Belmore, Campsie and Beverley Hills.
They face multiple charges including supplying commercial quantities of prohibited drugs, knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime, recklessly directing a criminal group and participating in a criminal group.
Police on Thursday said Strike Force Shiel was established in May to investigate the large-scale drug supply by a criminal syndicate operating across the Sydney Metropolitan area.
All those arrested are due to face court on Thursday, with all bar one refused bail.
