Allan Saint-Maximin's huge Newcastle transfer claim is even more exciting given who he knows

Allan Saint-Maximin has predicted that 'every player in the world' will really want to join Newcastle United in the years to come.

Newcastle have been fishing in a different pond since the takeover was completed last October. The Magpies even managed to sign elite internationals such as Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier in the mid-season window earlier this year despite being in a relegation dogfight at the time.

Newcastle have since pulled clear of danger and Eddie Howe's side currently sit in ninth place in the table with four games to go. In theory, this position of safety will make a move to Tyneside even more attractive and Eddie Howe admitted last week that there will be targets 'motivated to try and experience' the remarkable atmosphere at St James' Park right now.

Although the message coming out of the club is evolution rather than revolution this summer, Newcastle will look to make further signings while also still complying with Financial Fair Play regulations. The owners' long-term goal is to one day play in Europe and win trophies and Saint-Maximin, who is friendly with some of France's most gifted footballers, has no doubt that his peers will want to be embark on that journey.

"It's really exciting," he told Premier League Productions. "I think every player in the world will really want to be part of this team.

"We have great supporters, we have a great city and we play in one of the best leagues in the world. I think the future for Newcastle will be really good.

"We are the richest club in the Premier League and I'm sure so many good things will start up. We just need to keep going, to work and everything is in the hands of the owners to try to improve the team.

"At the moment, that's what they did and that's why we're in this position. We just need to keep going and so many good things will happen in Newcastle."
