'All they have got' - Tyrone Mings slams Everton supporters after Aston Villa clash

Tyrone Mings has branded the throwing incident that marred the match between Everton and Aston Villa as 'disgusting' and taken aim at Blues supporters.

In added time of the first half, Lucas Digne stepped up to take a corner for his new club and was booed by Everton supporters as he whipped a dangerous ball into the box.

His cross was met at the near post by Emi Buendia, who headed it past Jordan Pickford to secure Steven Gerrard’s side all three points at Goodison Park.

And amid the celebrations of the goal, both Digne and Matty Cash were struck with bottles thrown by Everton supporters.

Everton confirmed on Saturday night that Merseyside Police have arrested a fan after they were identified by CCTV footage.

"Police have arrested a supporter at Goodison Park for throwing a missile onto the pitch during today’s Premier League match against Aston Villa,” a club statement read.

"Everton security staff and Merseyside Police identified the supporter using CCTV footage.

"Several objects were thrown towards the pitch following Aston Villa’s goal at the end of the first half, with one missile appearing to strike two opposition players.

"Investigations in conjunction with the police are ongoing, and the Club will issue bans to any fans identified throwing objects."

And after the game Villa skipper Mings was asked about the incident, and he didn’t hold back from taking aim at Blues supporters for their behaviour.

"They did and it was disgusting really, it is about all they have got,” the England international told Match of the Day.

"They tried to make it ugly, tried to make it an intimidating atmosphere and we came and got the three points. That will hopefully be dealt with but all you can do is get up and carry on."
