All the urgent food recalls this week from Supervalu, Donnybrook Fair and Avoca

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has published a number of recall notices in the month of March so far.

From choking hazards to fermentation issues and undeclared allergens, Irish consumers are being warned to check if they’re in possession of any of the affected items.

They’re sold across stores like Supervalu, Avoca, and Donnybrook Fair.

Recall of a batch of The Apple Farm Still Irish Apple Juice

Food safety officials have recalled The Apple Farm Still Irish apple juice due to possible fermentation that may cause the bottle to break.

The exact product included in this recall is The Apple Farm Still Irish Apple Juice in the pack size of 250ml.

The batch details are as follows:

M152; best before date: 31/03/2024

Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale and customers can get their money back if they return the product.

Recall of ABC Assorted Jelly Straws and Jelly Fruity sweets

These assorted sweets have been recalled this month due to possible choking risk.

According to the FSAI: “ABC Assorted Jelly Straws and ABC Assorted Jelly Fruity sweets are subject to recall as they may present a choking risk due to the presence of unauthorised gel-forming additives”.

Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale and customers can receive their money back when returned.

All batches are included in this recall and retailers are requested to remove the implicated products from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale.

Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated products.

Donnybrook Fair Banana Bread

The Donnybrook Fair banana bread has been recalled due to indeclared milk and walnuts in a mispacked batch.

The pack size included in this recall is 250g, the batch code code is 073 and the best before date is 21/03/2023.

According to the notice: “The above batch of Donnybrook Fair Banana Bread was mispacked with Donnybrook Fair Carrot Cake.

“This product contains milk and walnuts which are not declared in the list of ingredients. This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk and/or walnuts”.
