Thousands of runners will take part in the Liverpool Half Marathon this Sunday (March 26).
The 13.1-mile BTR Liverpool Skyline Half Marathon event also includes the 8th annual BTR Liverpool 10 Mile Road Race, with both races starting from the Pier Head at 9am.
Runners will pass the Three Graces before winding their way through the city and onto Sefton Park, and both routes will finish with a grandstand under the iconic Liver Birds.

As with any big running event, there will be road closures along the route. However, from the eight mile mark at Aigburth Drive, all runners will be off the public highway.
Liverpool City Council has also said the event operates a road opening system with roads along the course being opened as runners pass through each mile location.
Road closures
Waterfront
As the race begins at 9am on Canada Boulevard, there will be no traffic movement between 8.55am and 9.20am as the runners leave Canada Boulevard.
Traffic will be held on the northbound carriageway of Brunswick Street for approximately 20-25 minutes. When the last runner has moved from the northbound carriageway at Liver Street to the southbound carriageway, the northbound side will be reopened.
There will be no access to Water Street or Canada Boulevard. Access to Brunswick Street on the river side of the Strand will operate for residents
Access to the Albert Dock will be held from the start of the event from 8.55am until 09.30am - or when the last runner has passed this location. Gower Street, Queens Wharf and Salthouse Quay will operate as normal.
Aigburth
Access to and from Jericho Lane /Aigburth Road will be restricted between 9am and midday (approx) as runners pass from Sefton Park to Otterspool. The junction will reopen as soon as the last runner passes through.
Runners will also occupy both sides of Croxteth Drive between the caves exit point and Aigburth Drive between 9.15-10.15am (approx).
Affected roads along the course are subject to a comprehensive Traffic Management Plan supported by Merseyside Police. Both will be assisted by a professional stewarding team along the entire course who will assist with the movement of traffic in the immediate vicinity of the race route.
Princes Park and vicinity
Traffic on Princes Road will be allowed to carry out all manoeuvres behind the last runner. Princes Avenue will be unaffected. There will be no access to Windermere Terrace from Ullet Road or Aigburth Road over the duration of the race.
