Icy conditions caused chaos on roads across Merseyside this morning as people ventured out to work.
The wintry weather has caused a number of road closures this Tuesday, with congestion reported on roads across the region. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice covering the whole of Merseyside.
Public transport has also been hit by delays and cancellations. Huyton Travel said the weather conditions buses will not be going down side streets that are not gritted.

Arriva North West has reported cancellations and delays due to the weather, with services suffering from disruption of up to 40 minutes across the entire network. Here's the latest road closures and congestion across the region:
Woodchurch Road in Birkenhead is currently closed in both directions due to a crash between Prenton Dell Road and Prenton Hall Road.
Arriva North West tweeted: "Due to major accident on Woodchurch Road police have informed us not to use Woodchurch Road. All 413/414/418/471/472 services are diverted via Storeton road onto the Noctorum avenue onto Upton Bypass to Arrowe Park Hospital then back on route."
Meanwhile in Liverpool, buses are being diverted away from Sefton Park due to the challenging road conditions. A diversion is currently in place for 4/4A services via Ullet Road, Smithdown Road and Aigbirth Road.
Heavy traffic is building on Smithdown Road, which was pictured covered in a blanket of snow earlier this morning. Speke Boulevard was closed after a crash at around 8am, but traffic has now eased.
According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, there is slow traffic on Southport New Road and Liverpool Road at Church Road (Tarleton traffic lights). Travel time is reported to be around seven minutes.
Delays have also been reported on the M62 at Junction 4 for The Rocket, where travel time currently stands at around 18 minutes. Queuing traffic is also reported on the M6 northbound between Junction 19 for the Tabley Interchange and Junction 20 of the M56 following a crash.
