Every record Erling Haaland has broken at Man City after beating Premier League goals total

With Erling Haaland's lovely chip over Lukas Fabianski, Manchester City killed the game against West Ham and took a huge step towards the Premier League title by winning their first game in hand to return top of the table.

Nobody will remember that, however, as Haaland's goal was the record-breaking 35th of the season in the league to earn him the outright record for most goals in a Premier League campaign.

Haaland said he would trade all of his goals for a historic treble with Manchester City, and he could still end up with the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup. Whether those winners' medals arrive, though, he has already written himself into history with an incredible number of records that may never be beaten.

Pep Guardiola predicted early in the season that Haaland will break Mo Salah's record of 32 goals in a season - although even he couldn't have expected how quickly his new number nine would chase down that record. He beat that record in April, and secured the outright record in a full campaign against West Ham.

Still with eight games left to play - nine if City reach the Champions League final - Haaland now has a chance to extend his records and ensure they are practically unbeatable. Here, we have listed all the records he has broken so far in his 45-game career at the Etihad:

Most goals in first five Premier League appearances - 9

A debut double against West Ham was followed by a goal against Newcastle and back-to-back hat-tricks against Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest. Haaland even had time to blank against Bournemouth, taking his tally to nine goals from his first five Premier League appearances - setting his first record in the process.

Most Premier League goals in August - 9

Those five goals were all scored before the end of August, making Haaland the most prolific player in the month in Premier League history.

Fastest player to reach 10 Premier League goals - 6 games

Haaland couldn't make it three hat-tricks in successive Premier League appearances (but more on that later), although he did stick out his long leg to score a fine goal against Aston Villa. That was his tenth league goal in just six appearances, becoming the player to reach double figures in the quickest time possible.

First City player to score on Premier League and Champions League debut

It wasn't just Premier League records that Haaland was breaking in his first few weeks at City, as his double in Seville ensured he became the first Blues player to score on their Premier League and Champions League debut, following his brace at West Ham in the league.

Youngest player to score 25 Champions League goals

Haaland's second in Seville took him to 25 goals in the Champions League after his time at Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund. That secured him another record, as he became the youngest player to reach the landmark in the competition. It was just his 20th appearance.

First player to score in first four Premier League away games

Haaland picked up his league form at Molineux, where he scored his first goal from outside the box for City. After goals at West Ham, Newcastle and Villa, he became the first player to score in each of their first four Premier League away games.

Most goals in opening seven Premier League games - 11

That Wolves strike low into the bottom corner secured a second record, too, as Haaland took his league tally to 11 goals - the most anyone has scored in their first seven games in the competition.

First player in the Premier League to score three consecutive hat-tricks in home matches

Next up for Haaland was the Manchester derby, where he announced himself to the red half of the city with a devastating hat-trick to go with his Palace and Forest trebles. No other player has ever scored a hat-trick in three consecutive home games.

Fastest player to score three Premier League hat-tricks - 8

Haaland ticked off a number of records with his derby exploits, becoming the player to reach three Premier League hat-tricks in the fewest number of appearances. He had played just eight games to reach that tally, with the next-nearest player to get to three match balls needing 48 games.

Most goals in first eight Premier League games - 14

The derby records don't stop there, as Haaland became the first player since Franny Lee in 1970 to score a derby hat-trick for City, until Phil Foden became the second later in the game. Haaland's 12th, 13th and 14th goals of the league campaign in just eight outings also made him the highest scorer in any player's first eight Premier League appearances.

First player to have five goal involvements in a Manchester derby

The last of Haaland's derby-day records comes from his two assists for Foden in City's emphatic 6-3 win. With three goals as well, Haaland was the first player to record five-goal involvements in any derby between City and United.

First player to score in seven successive Premier League games for City

When Haaland scored against Southampton in October, it was his 15th of the season, and the seventh game in a row where he had scored in the league. Talk had started to start of Haaland breaking Jamie Vardy's record of successive goals, but Haaland then blanked against Liverpool. Still, no City player has ever managed to score in seven Premier League games in a row.

Fastest player to score 20 goals in a Premier League season - 14 games

After a few games out with injury and a World Cup break, Haaland returned to action with a cup goal against Liverpool and a league brace at Leeds over Christmas. That took his Premier League tally to 20 goals, adding another 'fastest to score' record as he beat Kevin Phillips' record of the fewest games to score 20 goals in a season. Phillips needed 21 games, Haaland did it in 14.

First player to score 20 Premier League goals before January

With that Leeds game coming on December 28, Haaland also ensured he became the first player to score 20 Premier League goals before January. In itself that is an incredible achievement, so when the six-week World Cup break is considered it's absolutely remarkable.

Fastest player to reach 25 goals under Guardiola - 20 games

Not content with breaking Premier League records, Haaland broke a Lionel Messi landmark with his Leeds goals. Messi needed 28 games to score his 25th goal under Pep Guardiola. Haaland knocked eight games off that total.

Most Premier League goals in a season under Guardiola - 35

When Haaland equalised in the home game against Tottenham in January, Haaland's 22nd league goal of the season made him the highest scorer in any Premier League campaign under Pep Guardiola. He's added another 13 in the time since to become the all-time top goalscorer in a single season - not just at City.

Fastest player to score four Premier League hat-tricks - 19

Haaland's hat-trick exploits had quietened after the derby, but he ensured he must find room for another match-ball with his three goals against Wolves. That took him to 25 league goals, and it was his fourth hat-trick in just 19 Premier League appearances. The previous quickest player to reach their fourth treble was Ruud van Nistelrooy who took 65 games, but Haaland smashed that with only 19 appearances to his name.

Fastest player to score 25 Premier League goals - 19

It was a double Premier League record on Sunday as Haaland took another record off Kevin Phillips, scoring his 25th league goal in his 19th appearance. Phillips previously took 26 games to get there.

Most home goals in a single Premier League season - 22

A hat-trick at home to Wolves in January hat-trick meant Haalandovertook Sergio Aguero's previous best of home league goals at the Etihad of 16 as he took his tally to 18 in 11 Etihad outings. Now, Haaland has 22 of his 35 league goals at home, coming from just 16 appearances. There are still two home games to extend that record.

Most goals by a City player in a single Premier League campaign - 35

With his strike at the Emirates in February, Haaland levelled Sergio Aguero's 26 goals in a single Premier League season for City, and broke it later that month with his finish at Bournemouth. Since then, he's continued to set the bar, with his record-breaking 35 goals in the campaign set against West Ham.

Youngest player to score 30 goals in the Champions League

Haaland's five-goal haul vs RB Leipzig was frankly ridiculous, and it also landed him another Champions League accolade. His second goal against the Germans saw him become the youngest player to reach 30 goals in the Champions League, before he added three more for good measure on the night, and another two in the quarter-final against Bayern Munich.

Most goals scored in all competitions by a Premier League player in a single season - 51

Haaland's acrobatic bicycle kick at Southampton saw him equal the record jointly held by Mohamed Salah and Ruud van Nistelrooy for most goals scored by a Premier League player in all competitions (43) before his goal at home to Bayern Munich saw him earn the record outright. His prolific form has ensured he has continued to extend that record to 51 - with Dixie Dean's all-time top-flight record of 63 goals in his sights with eight games remaining - or nine if City reach the Champions League final.

Most goals by a Premier League player in a 38-game season

Haaland took another record from Salah when he got Premier League goal number 32 against Leicester last month, before adding the outright record to his collection when he scored in the demolition of Arsenal in injury time. That put him on 33 goals, with the 42-game record soon to be beaten too. Now, the record is the same regardless of how many games in the campaign.

Most Champions League goals scored in a single season by a player at an English club - 12

After missing a penalty at the Allianz Arena to kill the tie with Bayern Munich, Haaland made no mistake when he took advantage of some hesitant defending to score in the quarter-final second leg. It was Champions League goal number 12 of the season, equalling Ruud van Nistelrooy's record from 2002/03 of goals in the competition from a player at an English club. If he scores against Real Madrid in the semi-finals, he will take another record outright.

First top-flight player to score 50 goals in a season since 1931

Pep Guardiola couldn't believe that Winston Churchill wasn't even Prime Minister the last time a top-flight player scored 50 in a season, but Haaland's emphatic penalty at Fulham made that statistic a reality. It also saw him equal Andy Cole and Alan Shearer's record of 34 goals in a Premier League season, although the pair wouldn't hold that record for much longer...

Most Premier League goals scored in a single season - 35

When Haaland was played through by Jack Grealish in a tense affair with West Ham, history was made as he became the first player to score 35 goals in a Premier League season. Haaland received a guard of honour at full time after becoming the top scorer in a single campaign, and he still has five games to extend his record. With 51 for the season, Haaland will be looking to ensure his records are unbeatable - at least until he goes about trying to better them next season.
