If you're in the market for a new challenge, there are pubs and restaurants in Bristol looking for people to take them on. Among those listed on Rightmove and Fleurets are a historic pub that closed during the pandemic and a Grade II-listed restaurant, near Park Street.
Currently there are four restaurants and three pubs on the market. Some of the restaurants are less than £2,000 a month, while others do not have a price advertised.

Rudgleigh Inn, Martcombe Road, Easton-in-Gordano
The traditional pub, which has previously been a food-led business, comes with a beer garden. The pub has three internal areas - a bar, separate dining for 40 covers, and a lounge used for dining with a further 30 covers. The carpark has 17 spaces, with an overflow available. There are 20 picnic benches outside. The interior includes a wooden floor and fireplace. The pub received mixed reviews on TripAdvisor with some praising the food and friendly atmosphere while others criticised the carvery.
Bomboloni, 225 Gloucester Road, Bristol
The property was an Italian restaurant, which has recently been turned into a deli. The reviews on TripAdvisor were generally positive with the restaurant being praised for the quality of its food. The semi-detached building includes a large kitchen and terrace at the front. There is an open-plan indoor area and the property can be rented with all appliances included.
White Horse, 24 High Street, Westbury-on-Trym
This 18-century public house in one of Bristol’s most affluent suburbs comes with many original features still intact. Upstairs there is a commercial kitchen and private accommodation. There is also a small enclosed courtyard. The pub reopened in the summer of 2022 under new management after a brief closure.
Millennium Promenade, Bristol
This large restaurant on the harbourside measures 1,180sq ft with open-plan dining inside and a bar area. The front terrace seats 60 with waterfront views. A payment of £85,000 is required for those wishing to purchase current fittings and fixtures. Other features include refurbished toilets, kitchen and a large storage room.
Downend Tavern, 125 Downend Road, Fishponds
The popular historic pub that closed during the Covid pandemic, almost reopened last year but is now back on the market. The stone-built property includes private accommodation upstairs and basement. Some locals were reported to be upset by its closure, having previously lost other pubs in the area.
St George's Road, Bristol
Just around the corner from Park Street this former restaurant is situated in a Grade II-listed building. The space measures 500sq ft and is partially fitted.
Gloucester Road, Horfield, Bristol
This former fast-food restaurant is up for rent on the popular shopping street. It comes with a self-contained one-bedroom flat above. Downstairs there is a commercial kitchen, a spacious indoor seating area and outdoor seating.
