A murder investigation launched by the police after three people were found dead across the city has led to the closure of a number of bus city roads. Police were called to Ilkeston Road, in Radford, just after 4am where two people were found dead in the street.
Officers were then called to another incident in Milton Street, in Nottingham city centre, where a van had attempted to run over three people. They are currently being treated in hospital.
A man has also been found dead in Magdala Road, in Mapperley Park. Police have arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of murder and he remains in police custody.

A number of road closures are in place due to various police cordons across Nottingham. Nottingham City Transport said there was 'severe disruption and delay' to services due to the incident. A large police cordon is in place on Milton Street, near the Victoria Centre, and Upper Parliament Street is also closed.
Ilkeston Road, Magdala Road, Maples Street, Hyson Green, and Woodborough Road - from the junction of Magdala Road heading into the city - and Maid Marian Way at the junction of Parliament Street are all closed.
Nottingham City Transport said: "There is severe disruption and delay to services this morning because of a police incident in the City Centre, where Milton Street, part of Upper Parliament Street (Theatre Square – Maid Marian Way), Burton Street and part of Mansfield Road are closed.
Please use the following alternative stops for services:
Navy 1, 3: Use normal stops
Green 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11: Use Angel Row, Maid Marian Way, Canal Street or Station only
Brown 15, 16, 17: Use the bus stop on Mansfield Road near the YMCA International Community Centre.
Lilac 25, 26, 27: Use normal stops
Pink 28, 30: Use stops near Cathedral / Nottingham Playhouse only
Orange 34, 35, 36: Use Angel Row only
Blue 39, 40, 41, 42: Use normal stops
Red 43, 44: Use normal stops
Sky Blue 45: Use the bus stops at the bottom of Woodborough Road
Sky Blue 46, 47: Use the bus stops at the bottom of Woodborough Road
Navy 48: Use normal stops
Navy 49: Use Angel Row, Maid Marian Way, Canal Street or Station only
Red 50: Use Pryzm only
Lime 56, 57, 58, 59: Use the bus stop on Mansfield Road near the YMCA International Community Centre.
Yellow 68, 69, 70, 71: Use the bus stop on Mansfield Road near the YMCA International Community Centre.
Turquoise 77, 78, 79: Use Maid Marian Way, outside the Lighting Shop only
Purple 87, 88, 89: Use the bus stop on Mansfield Road near the YMCA International Community Centre.
