All the Marvel superhero movies coming out in 2022 and beyond

Marvel fans will be pleased to know that there are a few films that are set to be released from the film franchise in 2022. Some of the release dates have been delayed multiple times due to the Covid pandemic.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe of movies and TV series shows no signs of letting up and we are now in Phase 4 which includes projects from 2021 to 2023. And there are a few more films still set to be released in the remaining part of this year.

Phase 4 kicked off with the WandaVision series on Disney+. Black Widow was the first film in this phase and was followed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals, Spider-Man: No Way Home and the latest release, this week's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. So what's next after that?

Thor: Love and Thunder

The release date for Thor: Love and Thunder have been postponed twice. The current UK release date of the film is set for July 8, 2022.

This film is intended to be the direct sequel to Thor: Ragnarok and the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will see Thor's quest for inner peace, but this journey will be interrupted by the galactic killer, Gorr the God Butcher.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

The sequel to Black Panther is set to hit UK cinemas on November 11, 2022. This follows the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman who died in 2020 and played the original title character in the first film.

Reports say that the sequel will honour Boseman as they have made the decision not to recast for his iconic role of Black Panther. Fans are no doubt waiting in anticipation to see just how this upcoming film will honour the actor.

Looking ahead to 2023, that will bring us more Marvel on the big screen, in the form of a number of sequels:

  • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
  • The Marvels (follow-up to Captain Marvel)

An MCU reboot of Fantastic Four is also coming at some point. So, superhero fans will have plenty to enjoy now and in the near future.
