There is set to be disruption this week due to a number of planned roadworks on the M4. Traffic Wales and National Highways have confirmed that roadworks and repairs will take place along several areas of the road in Wales and England this week.
The works include several full closures and are likely to affect those who are travelling in south Wales and the west of England, with commuters and those travelling early in the morning or late at night expected to be impacted. Here are all the planned works on and around the M4 for the week starting Monday, August 8.

The closures on the M4 in Wales are:
The M4 westbound from junction 42 to 41: The road is closed from August 8 to August 16 between 8pm and 6am due to resurfacing work. Local diversions will be in place.
The M4 westbound from junction 41 to 43: The entry slip road is closed from August 8 to August 15 between 8pm and 6am due to resurfacing work.
The M4 eastbound from junction 43 to 42: The road is closed from August 8 to August 12 between 8pm and 6am each day to facilitate resurfacing work.
The M4 eastbound from junction 23 to Prince of Wales Bridge: The road is closed from August 8 to August 10 between 9pm and 6am due to maintenance work.
The M4 both directions from Prince of Wales Bridge to junction 23: The road is closed from August 10 to August 12 between 9pm and 6am. Maintenance work is being carried out.
The closures and roadworks on the M4 in England are:
The M4 westbound between junctions 6 and 8: The road is closed from 8pm on August 9 to 6am on August 10. All three lanes will be closed.
The M4 westbound between junctions 21 and 23: The road is closed between 10pm and 6am from August 10 to August 12. All three lanes will be closed.
The M4 both directions at junction 11: The road is closed from 9pm on August 11 to 6am on August 12. All three lanes will be closed.
