The Easter holidays are once again upon us but fear not, there are plenty of free activities for your little ones to enjoy in Swansea over the next two weeks. This year it's a very different picture as the first Easter out of lockdown restrictions for two years, so many will be making the most of their time together with friends and loved ones.
From bunny hunts at Oystermouth Castle to free sport camps, we've rounded up some Easter events to keep the kids entertained. So get planning and enjoy some exciting activities in Swansea this Easter without spending a penny!

Easter trail at National Waterfront Museum
Hop over to the National Waterfront Museum on Easter weekend and become a bunny detective for 'The Big Museum Easter Trail' where you will hunt high and low, far and wide to find the bunnies that are hiding around the museum. Swansea’s National Waterfront Museum is currently showcasing Wales’ industrial history over the last 300 years and on April 10 there's a free showing of the Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon. And on April 24 there's a free showing of Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway.

Get active with ParkLives
During the Easter holidays, ParkLives will continue their weekly sessions for adults as well as offering a variety of extra activities across the city to suit all ages and abilities.
There is a packed timetable of free fun activities for the children, including brand new Triathlon Camps, SUP sessions, Us Girls Camps, hockey, dodgeball and Nerf fun sessions – as well as the regular balance bikes, multi-sport camps and mountain biking. Enjoy the fresh air at over 50 beautiful parks and gardens
There are over 50 beautiful parks and gardens in Swansea to enjoy this Easter holidays, whether you take a picnic, make your own obstacle course, walk the dog or just admire the beautiful outdoors. There's plenty to enjoy. Parks include, Brynmill Park, Rosehill Quarry Community Park, Victoria Park, Clyne Gardens, Cwmdonkin Park and many more.
Become spring discoverers at Swansea Museum
From April 9 to 24, Swansea Museum is letting the little ones become spring discoverers by searching upstairs and downstairs for spring objects, or they can invite a fairy or brownie into their garden or home by making them a door. You can also pick up some free peas at reception and grow your own at home. Stop by Swansea Museum and get your free activity booklet including craft ideas and puzzles.

Oystermouth Castle Easter Bunny hunt
On Sunday, April 17 take part in the Easter Bunny hunt at Oystermouth Castle. Find the hidden Easter bunnies and bag yourself an Easter treat!

Easter Fun at The Market Garden
From Monday, April 11 to Friday, April 22 from 12pm to 2pm there will be a range of fun activities for kids to enjoy at the Market Garden. The popular pop-up photography studio will be making a return, providing children with a digital Easter-themed portrait as a fantastic keepsake.
On Saturday, April 16 from 11am to 4pm the whole family, including the dog, can take part in an Easter Egg Hunt around Swansea Market and enjoy live music and entertainment in The Market Garden.

Free bus services
Starting on Good Friday (April 15), the popular free bus offer in the city is back for another 10 days. This offer is for journeys that start and finish within the Swansea Council area. This is the area bounded by Loughor (Ship and Castle), Pontarddulais (Railway Station), Garnswllt, Clydach (Coed Gwilym Cemetery), Lonlas (Bowen Arms) and Port Tennant (Bevans Row) so it includes places like Gorseinon, Pontarddulais, Gower and Morriston.
Guided Bird Identification Session
On Sunday, April 10 at 9.30am join in and pick up some tips on bird identification at Rosehill Quarry, Mount Pleasant, Swansea. Visit Swansea council's website for more details.
Spring Flower Hunt with Gower Society Youth
On Saturday, April 23 between 10 am and 12pm at Oxwich National Nature Reserve you can join the Gower Society Youth for a walk through Oxwich Nature Reserve looking for spring flowers. You can also have a look in the pond for any spring emerging animals like newts and dragonfly nymphs. Book your spot on the Eventbrite website.
