As the UK celebrates the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, some of the nation’s favourite brands are offering exclusive deals and freebies to customers over the four-day weekend.
The Bank Holiday can see shoppers take advantage of a free Greggs sausage roll or Victoria sponge cake, with prizes to be won for online supermarket shops.
Manchester Evening News have rounded up some of the best offers customers can take advantage of from today - with thanks to Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 year reign.

McDonald’s
Today (June 2) and tomorrow will see McDonald’s Quarter Pounder with Cheese renamed the ‘Royale with Cheese’, available for just 99p on the McDonald’s App, giving customers a huge £2.60 saving to kick off a weekend of celebrations.
McDonald’s is also giving customers the chance to win one of 70 china Big Mac, fries and milkshake sets via a competition on the McDonald’s App between May 31 and June 6.
The fast food chain have even teamed up with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to re-create its iconic jingle and make it fit for a queen, re-recording the iconic ‘Five Note String’ or the ‘ba da ba ba ba’ you hear at the end of their adverts. One’s lovin’ it.
Iceland
Iceland is offering lucky customers the chance to win a £2,500 food shop as part of a big online promotion that offers more than 300,000 prizes.
Iceland’s online shoppers can get their hands on a whole range of prizes by simply doing their weekly shop and grabbing a few bargains. From cash prizes to holiday vouchers, shoppers can look forward to an unbelievable surprise, with every customer receiving a prize of some form.
All shoppers need to do is complete an online order with no minimum spend between Saturday, May 28 and Saturday, June 4, and scratch the virtual scratch card they receive afterwards. Then just match up three symbols to get your hands on some prizes.
Aldi
Aldi have slashed the price of one of their most popular proseccos from £5.99 to £4.99 for the bank holiday. Shoppers can snap up the best-selling ‘Costellore Prosecco Spumante’ prosecco for less than £5,
Aldi said: “There has never been a better time for a fizz tastic price drop. Aldi’s classic Italian sparkling wine offers fruity peach and pear flavours and notes of apple peel and lemon zest, making it the ideal partner for delicate fish and fresh cheese dishes, or street party canapes.”
Frankie and Benny’s
Italian-American eatery Frankie & Benny’s is spreading the love this Bank Holiday by offering guests a free Victoria sponge cake - but they have to buy a glass of prosecco to qualify
The offer will be available in their UK restaurants from Thursday, June 2 to Sunday, June 5, with the cheapest glass of fizz costing £4.40.
The chain has also launched a limited-edition gin and tonic cocktail inspired by the monarch’s favourite tipple. Dubbed the Jubilee G&T, the cocktail is features a blend of Whitley Neill Special Edition Jubilee Gin, Fever Tree Rhubarb and Raspberry Tonic, and fresh raspberries for £7.
Burger King
At Burger King, the Chicken Royale will be slashed to £1.99, down from £4.79. The week-long offer launched on May 30, but will only be available to customers who order via the Burger King app before June 5.
The Royale, which is one of Burger King’s most iconic burgers, consists of tasty chicken wrapped in a special crisp coating, topped with iceberg lettuce, creamy mayo and crowned with a toasted sesame seed bun.
Though those looking for a meat-free option can swap the offer for a £1.99 Vegan Royale instead, but it can’t be used in conjunction with any other offer.
Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme have hidden 70 Platinum Cards in dozen boxes this week, which entitle the finder to a year's worth of free doughnuts. Initially launched as invite-only to reward Krispy Kreme fans for their contributions to their communities and the nation, the competition will see even more foodies join the exclusive club, with thanks to The Queen.
From Monday, May 30, to Sunday, June 5, all customers that purchase a Choose Your Own Dozen at one of 11 Krispy Kreme’s Hotlight Theatre shops will be in with a chance of finding a winning ticket and entitling them to one year’s worth of doughnuts.
Krispy Kreme lovers will also be in with the chance of winning a free Original Glazed dozen every 70 minutes during the Jubilee celebrations.
Greggs
Pastry icons Greggs have teamed up with Just Eat to offer customers a free sausage roll with orders over the Jubilee weekend. The deal will be available from Thursday, June 2 to Sunday, June 5.
To claim the freebie, you’ll need to sign up to a free Just Eat account either online or via the app. Once you've made your account, you'll need to make a purchase through Just Eat to qualify.
There’s a minimum spend of £10 to bag the free sausage roll, so unless you were already planning on ordering via Just Eat over the weekend, it may not be the best deal for you. However, if you were, the free sausage roll - worth around £1.25 - is a real bonus.
The Just Eat deal relies on participating stores, and is only available while stocks last - so get in there quick if you're hoping to bag a bargain bite.
Sainsbury's
Planning a barbecue to celebrate the Jubilee? Sainsbury’s have slashed the price of their litre bottles of Pimm's by more than 50 per cent. Shoppers will be able to pick up a bottle of the fruity gin-based beverage for just £10, reduced from £21. The offer makes the litre bottle £6 cheaper than the smaller 70cl bottles.
