Police forces throughout the UK publish regular data of the crimes reported and types of crimes committed within an area, and South Wales Police is no exception.
According to data published by the force, there were 12,732 crimes reported in Bridgend County during the year 2021.
The crimes cover a variety of areas, including bike theft, drugs, and anti-social behaviour.

Morfa, Oldcastle, and Brackla had the highest number of reported crimes over the twelve-month period, with both Brackla and Morfa's lists topped by reports of violence and sexual offences, and Oldcastle's reports topped by anti-social behaviour.
Llangeinor, Cefn Glas, and Nottage had the lowest number of crimes reported.
Police records however do not take into account the population density to crime ratio, and you should therefore be cautious about drawing too many conclusions directly from the information.
