Travel and holiday rules for UK travellers put in place during the Covid pandemic have largely been lifted. But there are still some countries around the world where you need to follow certain rules and restrictions if you want to get in.
The rules are in place for anyone planning a holiday to a number of key destinations popular with UK travellers, including Spain, the USA, Thailand and Tunisia.
Here are all the countries with rules currently in place in October 2022 for UK travellers.
Spain
You must show proof of full vaccination, a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours before leaving the UK or a negative antigen test taken within 24 hours before leaving the UK. You could also provide proof of recovery from Covid within the past six months. Children aged up to 11 are exempt; children aged 12 to 17 only need two doses.
USA
You have to be fully vaccinated. Children aged 17 and under are exempt.
Thailand
You must show proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure.
You will also need to follow rules including vaccination, negative tests, insurance and completing health forms if you want to visit Japan, China, Hong Kong, the Seychelles, Singapore, UAE, Bahamas, Bermuda, St Maarten, Cuba, Myanmar, Ecuador, Indonesia, Rapa Nui, Venezuela, Tunisia, Zambia, Kenya, Nepal, Fiji, Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea and Palau.
