The ARIA Awards are back, and so is the best red carpet in Australian culture. The ARIA red carpet is always, without fail, a deliciously enticing mix of tacky and glam, like a bogan twang on a familiar song. It’s noice, it’s different, it’s unuuuuuusual, and thank SWEET BABY JESUS, it’s back.
This year, the ARIA Awards will be held at Sydney’s Horden Pavilion, where stars like G Flip, Troye Sivan, Amy Shark, Kylie Minogue (queen “Padam Padam” herself) and Budjerah are up for awards.
Also joining them will be living icon Dolly Parton, who joins a rich history of names far too big for the ARIAs (Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, etc) attending our lil’ event. Great get for the ARIAs IMO. As the saying from Queen Dolly herself goes, it takes a lot of money to look this cheap.

Christian Wilkins
Of course, Christian Wilkins is one of the first celebs to hit the carpet. After all, the model and actor hosted the carpet festivities with the lovely radio presenter Bridget Hustwaite.
He’s serving mythical god meets chainmail in this sexy, sheer little number. It’s sleek, it’s chic and I love a king serving nips.
Brigette Hustwaite
Wowza. I know Bridget is meant to be hosting the carpet but she’s really bringing the heat in this gorgeous pink ensemble. From the ruffles to the colour, I can’t fault this look.
No notes for our mate Bridge. Slay, if you will.
Millie Ford
TikTok’s princess Millie Ford has embodied what I reckon ARIA fashion is all about. Her look is fun, playful and the perfect balance between being dressed up with a pinch of casual.
If she said “Uh, boys in the back” wearing this outfit, I just knooooow they’d listen.
Emma Watkins
Alert the young children in your orbit because Emma Watkins has arrived looking like a sweet treat in her Emma Memma costume.
Drenched in orange and pink hues, she is really embodying the Best Children’s Album category already.
Alex Lahey
Who gave Alex Lahey permission to be so goddamn CUTE?!
I’m not just talking about the wonderful oversized suit moment. For me, it’s the aquatic themed tie that is truly the icing on the cake.
Kobie Dee
Gomeroi rapper and storyteller Kobie Dee had no right to go this hard. There’s something about mixing a gorgeous pattern with a traditional silhouette that really floats my boat.
Cxloe
Woah. Just woah.
Cxloe is embodying the weird, reptilian shit I love to see on the carpet at the ARIAs.
It’s sexy and just the right amount of effortless to make me go ‘Wow, could I do that?’
The answer is no but a girl can dream.
James Tawadros
Full disclosure, I had to Google who this man is. But with a look as fun as this one, it was worth the look. James Tawadros is one half of the Tawadros brothers, an ARIA Award-winning world musical act.
He’s won the ARIA Award for Best World Music Album a whopping five times. Can he make it a sixth? In this bubblegum kinda fit, I reckon he can.
Kahukx
Aussie rapper and musician Kahukx is a prime example of how you can elevate your everyday style to make it event-appropriate. Just look at the way he’s paired his balaclava with a lovely black suit.
Chantelle Otten & Dylan Alcott
As you can see sexologist Chantelle Otten and Aussie sports star Dylan Alcott are up for the award of Hottest Power Couple Of The Year.
Okay, that was a complete lie but can you blame me? The iconic duo genuinely deserve an award for these looks.
On the left, you’ve got Chantelle in a fit that certainly makes my heart race, and on the right, Dylan is cheesin’ in a suit that really makes his pearly whites look shiny and fresh.
Chrishell Stause
Selling Sunset? More like selling your soul to look this good.
I know this article has been overwhelmingly complimentary so far, but can you blame me? Chrishelle looks impeccable in this baby pink number. I will say that it feels very chill compared to the outfit she rocks peddling houses on Selling Sunset.
It’s the perfect fit to be the arm candy for her partner G-Flip — who is up for a whopping six ARIA awards tonight — if you ask me.
G-Flip
There they are!
While Chrishelle was slaying the carpet, G-Flip was busy doing interviews. But now, here they are on the press line as a united dream team.
It’s a classic G-Flip moment. The guns are out and patchwork tats are on display while the sunnies and leather floor-length vest give a certain je ne sais quoi to the look.
Also, Chrishelle and G-Flip, if you’re reading this, I’m always down if you need a third.
Charley
This look from Charley is like if Cher from Clueless morphed into Shego from Kim Possible.
The cropped jacket paired with the corset and untraditional hems shouldn’t work together. But somehow, Charley is making it work.
Potentially my fashion sense is biased because she’s hot.
Indiana Massara & Illy
Singer, actor and model Indiana Massara looks like a dream next to her collaborator, ARIA-award-winning rapper Illy.
While he scrubs up pretty damn well, this photo, in particular, is giving: “She’s everything, he’s just Ken.”
Troye Sivan
Australia’s man of the hour Troye Sivan is looking like a Weis bar-esque delight on the ARIA’s carpet. He’s decked in Prada head-to-toe with a white and yellow blouse-looking thing tucked into some slacks and some black shades to complete the look.
Only Troye could make this fit look effortless, sexy and stylish. I can imagine many girls, gays and theys are feeling the rush from the comfort of their own homes.
Cub Sport
I’m going to make a very big call — Cub Sport are the coolest Aussie band at the ARIAs right now. I’m not talking about music here, I’m basing this purely on vibes.
Just look at this dreamy combo of outfits. They just get it.
You’ve got Dan Puusaari on the left, wearing a cape over a suit. Zoe Davis is bejewelled. Tim Nelson looks like the second coming of sexy, kilted Jesus and Sam Netterfield has put the perfect leather-clad spin on traditional menswear.
To say I’m obsessed is an understatement.
Thelma Plum
Thelma Plum is another talented celeb who embodies exactly what I reckon ARIAs fashion should be about.
While her dress and accessories are slightly more casual, the sky-high brows, fun bangs and the knowledge that she looks incredible is enough to really get this fit across the line.
Well, in my humble opinion.
Ruel
Ruel really has the kind of hair you want to run your hands through, doesn’t he? Perfectly tousled.
His fit though? Look, I’ve got to be honest. I don’t particularly love this. It reminds me of this guy who goes to my local karoké joint and sings Frank Sinatra‘s “My Way” with too much vibrato.
Thankfully for Ruel, he’s incredibly talented and uses the perfect amount of vibrato. What’s one terrible shirt between friends, anyway?
Budjerah
I love this look from Budjerah! He looks so damn chic but in today’s humid weather, I can imagine the sweet pea is sweating out the wazoo.
Fingers crossed the pavilion has good air con because Budj is up for a bunch of ARIA awards this time around.
Dami Im
Dami Im is one classy gal. Her outfit today really embodies that, too. The former X-Factor star has gone for a gorgeous black and red gown and spent a few hot minutes spinning around on the carpet.
It was a gorgeous sight to behold.
Barkaa
Barkaa is easily in the top five of my favourite looks for the night. She is looking like an absolute dream in this gorgeous patterned suit.

Peach PRC
I’ve been waiting for Australia’s own woodland fairy Peach PRC to walk the red carpet. And of course, the princess of pink did not disappoint.
She genuinely looks like a forest nymph who has crafted her own outfit out of ethically sourced fish scales, unicorn mane and butterfly wings.

Jessica Mauboy
Alert! Alert! Jessica Mauboy is now a redhead! I’m obsessed!
Jess looks incredible in whatever she wears and I love how strong her sense of style is. But personally, I hate the monochrome tights and shoes.
Also, her black and red look is so similar to Dami Im’s that I’m worried the two superstar vocalists will be in the next Woman’s Day “Who Wore It Better” section.
Tommy Little & Brooke Boney
It’s time for the hosts of the big show to have their moment!
While Tommy is wearing a classic suit with sneakers, Brooke looks like a goddess in a silk gown.
Also is it just me or does it look like they’re a couple who just got hitched about to hit up their wedding reception?
Jamie Azzopardi
The girls that get it, get it.
One of my favourite things about seeing Jamie Azzopardi on the red carpet is that the looks are never, ever boring. The yellow statement cape is very reminiscent of Rihanna‘s 2015 Met Gala look, which was absolute royalty. Honestly, if Azzopardi wanted to, they could ditch the cape and go to the Coogee pav with the ‘fit.
Matt Backer, Michelle Lim, Jemima and Humpty Dumpty
Clutch your crayons, library bags and fairy bread ‘cos the Play School gang did NOT come to play. I’m assuming Humpty Dumpty is sporting a Tom Ford set.
Luca George
It’s like Mother Goose meets The Handmaid’s Tale and I love it. Maybe I’m just a sucker for the dramatics, but this is definitely the type of fashion I wanna be graced with at a big event like this. I also adore George’s eye makeup. It really pulls everything together.
Private Function
You know what? The ARIAs have always struck me as a bogan prom AND THIS IS WHAT THIS BAND IS GIVING.
It may not be a traditional red carpet look, but it’s nice, it’s different, and it is unusual. Private Function band members — Chris Pinney, Milla Holland and Aidan McDonald — are all dressed up for different functions. I’m obsessed.
Reuben Styles of Peking Duk
Old mate looks like that one man from Get Out. If you know, you know!!!
The doggy patterns are also adorable. The pupperoni truly adds the ~umph~ the outfit needs.
Marcia Hines
Marcia Hines looks absolutely STOONING with this lime, fluro green outfit. I’m not gonna lie to you, everytime I see this colour, it reminds me of 2000s Supré, but this is fun.
