All the bombshell moments from Amazon Prime Rooney documentary

A new documentary about Wayne and Coleen Rooney promises the tell-all story of their ups, downs and scandals.

The documentary, which airs on Amazon Prime on Friday, February 11, sees Wayne open up about some of the most memorable moments from his career, as well as his antics as a youngster.

Wayne and Coleen have had many ups and downs over the years and the documentary chronicles a number of them.

Here are some of the dramatic revelations we know will be revealed in the documentary.

Wayne Rooney still speaks to his dead nan Mavis to 'help him'

Wayne still speaks to nan Mavis to "help him" through tough periods in his life - even though she died in 2002.

He also said he used to sell cans of Coke and crisps at school, after getting them from the caravan his late nan had outside her house.

The footballer was incredibly close to his nan when she passed away shortly before he made his Premier League debut for Everton FC as a 16-year-old. And he still looks for support from her now when he needs help most.

Wayne, 36, tells new Amazon documentary Rooney: “My nan’s buried right next to Goodison.

“She would have loved to see me play. She would have been the proudest woman ever if she had seen me play.

“It is probably more moments when I am a bit low I think of my nan. Still, to this day, I still speak to her."

Wayne explained it is "more like a prayer" and that he always feels he has protection from his nan.

Becoming more emotional, he added: "It’s a release for me in terms of I know when I am speaking to her, I know things will be okay. It’s just helped me get through some bad moments.”

Mavis would buy a young Wayne his football kits and he was virtually living with her at one point growing up as she lived on the same street in Croxteth.

How Coleen and Wayne's marriage survived his brothel visits

Coleen Rooney explained why she stayed with husband Wayne after learning of his nights spent with sex workers.

The 35-year-old, who has been married for more than 13 years and in a relationship with the footballer since she was 16, talked about how Wayne seeing other women, who he paid for sex, pushed their relationship to breaking point.

As a teenager, stories emerged in 2004 saying Wayne, who was an Everton star at the time, had visited a brothel multiple times with pals on drunken nights out.

After he married Coleen in 2008, further stories emerged in 2010 about a threesome with escorts Jenny Thompson and Helen Wood which happened the previous year, as well as date nights out with Jenny, according to the Mirror.

There were rows after Wayne’s cheating, but mum-of-four Coleen ultimately stood by the ex-England striker and they are now trying to draw a line under the incidents in a new Amazon documentary.

When asked why she stayed with him, Coleen said: “When you’re making them decisions, you’ve got to focus on what you want, because you have so many people saying different things to you.

“Obviously I listen to the people that matter to me, my mum and dad, they’ve always given me a positive outlook on things.

“There’s nothing that we can’t deal with, and that’s my way. We’re in a situation, let’s sit down, let’s see what we can do, and can you make it work? And we have."

She said she and Wayne are "not the lovey-dovey type anyway", but that they have a laugh and "work well together".

Coleen said she partly stayed with him for the children, but that they also still love each other.

Wayne recalls 'fighting a lot in Southport' as a teenager

Wayne Rooney has admitted he “enjoyed” fighting as a teenager and would go out expecting to get into bother.

On one occasion Wayne says his jaw was “snapped” in a fight in Manchester when he was just 13, the Mirror reports.

The former Everton star said he "wasn't the nicest kid at that age".

In the new Amazon documentary Rooney said he had "a lot of fights" when he was younger.

He said: “I remember growing up I used to go to a lot of concerts. Travis concerts, Stereophonics, Cast. There was normally a lot of fighting at the end of it.

“You can imagine in the middle of a mosh pit and there’s probably about 15 of us all Scousers and we could be in the middle of Manchester, always end up being a fight between some of them.

“I remember I got my jaw snapped in Manchester. I was about 13 and some guy grabbed hold of me and hit me and he went to hit me again and I just ducked and threw a big haymaker, caught him and then I ran off.”

Rooney, who had the Stereophonics play at his wedding to wife Coleen, has now matured and is earning praise as manager of Derby County.

But he admits in the new Amazon documentary he was quite a handful as a cheeky kid growing up.

Asked if he went out knowing there would be fights at the music concerts, Wayne adds: “We knew there was a chance. We used to go Southport and fight a lot as well.

"I have come back from Southport with me eye all stitched up and my mum weren’t happy. I was probably about 12.

“You get taught you have to fight to survive and I don’t mean physically fight but you have to fight, you have to work harder than everybody else."

The Amazon Prime documentary 'Rooney' will be released on Friday, February 11.
