Teachers are going on strike this week and a number of schools across the North East will be closed as a result.
Members of the National Education Union (NEU) first went on strike in February in a dispute over pay. They are now planning further walkouts, with industrial action on Wednesday and Thursday (March 15 and 16).
Some schools have announced they will need to close on these days, while others will be partially shut. Here's a list of North East schools that we know will be affected so far. We will update this article as more schools announce their intentions.

"We have been advising parents to contact schools, check school websites and their social media for further information."
