The curtain-raiser for that game will be the All-Ireland Junior final. The semi-finals of that competition will take place on Friday, July 14 in Abbotstown with New York facing Warwickshire at 5.30pm before Kilkenny’s clash with London at 7.15pm.
The All-Ireland Junior final takes place on Sunday, July 16 at 1.30pm while the final of the All-Ireland SFC is scheduled for Sunday, July 30.
Ulster champions Derry booked their place in the semi-finals for the second year in a row after a hard-earned 1-12 to 1-8 win over Cork in Croke Park on Sunday.
Rory Maguire’s goal gave the Rebels hope for all of 30 seconds as Derry replied in kind at the other end with Conor Doherty firing past Micheál A Martin as the Oak Leafers kept Cork at a comfortable distance in the second half.
Shane McGuigan also had his late penalty saved by the Cork ’keeper, but Ciaran Meenagh’s side were, by far, the better team on the day.
Yet, they’ll need to improve to trouble Kerry after the Kingdom eased past the challenge of Tyrone in a one-sided contest on Saturday.
Second half goals from Diarmuid O’Connor and Sean O’Shea helped the All-Ireland champions to a 2-18 to 0-12 win over the Red Hands.
Monaghan came through an epic battle with Armagh - winning 9-8 in a penalty shootout after extra-time failed to separate the Ulster rivals.
Dublin, meanwhile, powered past Mayo thanks to a brilliant second half performance in Croke Park in the fourth and last quarter-final clash of the weekend, with a brace from Colm Basquel giving Dessiue Farrell’s men a 2-17 to 0-11 win.
