All-Ireland club final decision expected on Tuesday afternoon

A decision on the All-Ireland club final controversy is expected on Tuesday afternoon after a hearing at Croke Park tonight.

Both Glen and Kilmacud Crokes put their case to the Central Competitions Control Committee but it was decided to defer a final decision until tomorrow, when the CCCC sitting again in the morning to pore over the arguments made by either side.

There are three options on the table - a fine for Kilmacud for the fact that they had 16 players defending the goal after a botched substitution as Glen sought a winning goal from a 45 deep in injury time, forfeiture or a replay, which is still believed to be the most likely decision.

However, even if a replay ordered, it is far from certain that it would go ahead with Crokes having intimated privately that they would have no intention of fulfilling such a fixture after already receiving the cup, while the depth of appetite for it in Glen is also questionable, despite the club submitting an objection last week.
