Rio Ferdinand has provided his verdict on Liverpool’s defeat to Manchester United during pre-season.
The Reds suffered a 4-0 loss to the Red Devils in Bangkok on Tuesday. Jadon Sancho, Fred, Anthony Martial and Facundo Pellistri scored the goals for United.
Jurgen Klopp opted to go with three separate line-ups each being handed 30 minutes of action on the pitch. New signings Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho were both handed 'debuts', with the latter hitting the woodwork in the first half.

Despite the result being insignificant, Ferdinand explained why he liked what he saw from Man United against Liverpool.
“Seen a few things we [have] been crying out for the last few years,” wrote Ferdinand on Twitter. “But we’ve seen it sparingly before.
“All in all...good day at the office! I’m feeling the Ten Hag look on the touch line.”
After the game, Klopp explained why he felt the result was fair between the two teams. The German went on to say how Liverpool played well in moments against United.
“The result is fair, we have to accept that always,” said Klopp. “But I think it’s clear we could have scored our goals as well, then it would have been a more spectacular game.
“The goals we gave away for United, they didn’t really get any assists for it, to be honest. But they used their chances, that’s how it is. They had some really good moments that caused us problems.
“But I saw a lot of good stuff from my team as well. If the game obviously came a bit early for us, for a few of our players, you could see individual mistakes happen in football. It was pretty clear where we made mistakes but you have to keep on playing and we did, we could have scored three or four in the last five minutes and we didn’t, that’s our fault.
“That atmosphere was great, welcome fantastic, organisation really, really good, and the result not. That’s the situation, pretty much.”
