The 2024 NFL league year is about a week away and teams are working to clear space. For eight teams, there’s work to be done before they’re even under the $255.4 million salary cap for next season. There were also eight teams that saw a chunk of their space disappear Tuesday when they used the franchise tag.
That included the Jacksonville Jaguars, who applied the tag on Josh Allen and are now set to pay him $24,007,000 in 2024. But also on Tuesday, the Jaguars cleared $20,166,588 in cap space by releasing defensive lineman Folorunso Fatukasi, safety Rayshawn Jenkins, and cornerback Darious Williams.
