American influencer and podcaster Alix Earle has opened up about the bonkers drama this week surrounding her Hot Mess podcast being dropped by Alex Cooper’s network.
Well… kind of?
The influencer — finally — gave us an update on Sunday (local time) in a TikTok video off the back of numerous media reports that her podcast is no longer in Cooper’s Unwell Network line-up.
“This week has been like, meh,” Earle stated, adding two minutes later: “Obviously, there’s been a lot of chatter online this week about me and work.”
She continued: “And I also have no idea what’s going on.”
Podcast girlies were left hanging late last month when it was reported Cooper’s Unwell Network would no longer produce the Hot Mess podcast, with Variety saying the network had renounced all rights to the podcast so Earle could pursue other opportunities. It also stated SiriusXM will no longer sell ads for the show.
Hot Mess was the first offering acquired under the Unwell Network umbrella alongside Cooper’s own Call Her Daddy, per Us Weekly.
The podcast even brought on a new co-host in its second season last September, with Earle’s sister Ashtin coming on board.
It (was?) part of a pretty solid bench of podcasts in the Unwell Network, including Harry Jowsey‘s Boyfriend Material and Grace O’Malley‘s DisGRACEful.
However, a source reportedly told the publication there’s “a lot of tension” between Cooper and Earle, with a second insider claiming the pair have “had a lot of drama” since first teaming up in 2023.
Fans were also left speculating about a potential feud after Earle was noticeably absent from an Unwell Super Bowl party last month.
To top it all off, it certainly doesn’t help that Earle hasn’t exactly offered much detail either, with a number of comments on her TikTok video inquiring about the tea.
“If Alex Cooper did you dirty, I will riot,” one user stated.
Others wondered if she truly wasn’t aware the podcast was going to be dropped.
We’ll just have to keep you posted on this one.
