Alistair Johnston has fired a 'just getting started' message to Rangers and Celtic's other rivals after their League Cup triumph.
The Canada international landed the first trophy of his career as he helped Ange Postecoglou's men retain the ViaPlay Cup with a 2-1 Old Firm derby win at Hampden. Kyogo Furuhashi was the Hoops hero on the day as he netted a close-range double to send the supporters and players wild in Glasgow's south side. Alfredo Morelos gave the Light Blues some hope but it wasn't to be as Michael Beale suffered his first defeat since taking over at Ibrox from Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Celtic also hold a commanding nine point lead over Rangers in the race for the Scottish Premiership crown. Despite Rangers' impressive run of results under Beale, they've been unable to make a dent in the Hoops' advantage with the champions matching them stride for stride with a run of relentless form of their own.

The Scottish Cup is also a realistic target as the men for the east end bid to win a Treble. They come up against Hearts at Tynecastle in the quarter-final stage as they look for another return to Hampden. With one trophy in the bag confidence will be flying going into the final stages of this campaign.
For Johnston, this win is extra special as it is the first of what he hopes will be many winners' medals. He took to Instagram to share a number of pictures alongside his team-mates and the trophy as they celebrated their national stadium success.
Alongside the images, he posted: "A day to remember. First trophy of my career and we are just getting started.. HH."
His post grabbed the attention of his Celtic pals with the likes of Kyogo, Tomoki Iwata, Scott Bain, Joe Hart and Benji Siegrist all liking it.
Matt O'Riley also took to his channels to share his delight posting: "What a team. What a club." with Johnston commenting on his post along with Moritz Jenz who left two emojis with the smiling face and heart-shaped eyes and Liel Abada with three green hearts.
