Alistair Johnston's move to Celtic seems to be edging even closer with the Parkhead outfit reportedly thrashing out terms with Montreal FC.
Ange Postecoglou has got his transfer business done early, with the Canadian set to make the switch to Glasgow following the World Cup break. He will join already-new arrival Yuki Kobayashi, who penned a five-year deal with the Scottish champions last week.
And it appears Johnson could be heading to Glasgow for a fee of around £3m, with the Hoops reportedly agreeing terms already. The 24-year-old will also net ten percent of the fee for himself, as Postecoglou potentially lines up a replacement for fellow World Cup star Josip Juranovic, who has taken the eye of potential suitors in recent months.

Yet Johnson could not hide his excitement at the thought of joining Celtic, and now seems to be edging closer to that dream. He said: “It’s an honour just being linked with them, my phone’s been blowing up. To be linked with a club like Celtic is obviously something I think every footballer is excited by.
“It’s one of the most passionate fan bases in the world. It’s a club that even people who don’t follow football know who it is. I’m super excited to get linked to them. But right now, the focus is just solely on the national team. Club things, that will get figured out once January hits.”
