'Alisson MOTM but also not really' - Liverpool fans react to keeper's display at Burnley

Liverpool's hopes of catching Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title were kept alive on Sunday thanks to a 1-0 victory at Turf Moor.

And with it came another clean sheet from Alisson Becker, who put in a stellar performance to keep the Clarets at bay and help his side secure another vital three points.

The big Brazilian was in inspired form in the first half, first keeping out Josh Brownhill from distance, before denying Jay Rodriguez with an even better save when a goal looked a certainty.

Alisson went on to complete five saves in the match and complete 15 ball recoveries.

His distribution out of the back was top notch as well, completing 38 passes out of 41.

The Turf Moor shut out was 15th of the season for Liverpool and Alisson, who was a worthy Man of the Match against Burnley.

Liverpool supporters across social media were full of appreciation for their stopper.

While @juza_23 had a slightly different - but understandable - take on today: "Alisson MOTM but also not really.

"Nearly all of their chances would’ve been given offside, so that just shows our offside trap working."

Only last week, former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand snubbed the Liverpool glovesman when naming his top three goalkeepers in the world, even though the trio he named all ply their trade in the Premier League.
