Alisson breaks his silence on "fight" with Jordan Henderson - "It's been difficult"

Liverpool keeper Alisson has spoken out on his fiery argument with Jordan Henderson during the goalless draw with Chelsea, insisting it's all water under the bridge.

Alisson and Henderson clashed in the second half at Stamford Bridge with the duo getting in each other's faces and shouting before the Reds captain barged the shot-stopper with his shoulder while walking past.

They were seen talking after the match and were arm-in-arm while smiling before heading down the tunnel to the away changing room, suggesting the matter was left on the pitch. And now Alisson has moved to confirm this, explaining the Liverpool players are as frustrated as the fans with recent results.

Alisson told ESPN Brazil: "Me and Henderson, we are two people who fight, who give our lives for their team. And on the field, there is no way to ask 'please?'

"So sometimes it seems that the mood is high, but it's two people trying to fix it, do things in the best way for the team and try to help. Of course, it's been difficult, it's been a great challenge [this season].

"We are human beings and we feel as much as anyone else. We get frustrated when something negative happens. We rejoice when we are well. But football, the difference is that we can't spend a long time lamenting because that's the good side of football.

"When things are going badly, two, three days after a match that the team doesn't play well, there's already an opportunity that can show again. So that's our challenge this season. Each game will show our real quality and play together as a team."

Liverpool were thumped 4-1 by Manchester City on the weekend - their third straight defeat - before they stopped the rot in the 0-0 draw with Chelsea.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp said of the result: "The recovery, the desire to sort the situation, I liked. Nil-nil. Not the most spectacular one, but a step for us. A little step, but a step in the right direction.

"I don't expect us to have no confidence, but I know we have to put the hard work first. It's not a situation where you go out with backheels and one-twos. We have to fight through. I know that's not what people want to hear, but you cannot change that.

"I saw a really good attitude from my team tonight and that's what I wanted to see. This is the basis for the rest of the season."
