Alisson Becker has called on everyone associated with Liverpool to 'trust the process' as the Reds try to resurrect their wretched Premier League season.
The Brazilian goalkeeper kept a clean sheet against Chelsea on Saturday in an eventless 0-0 draw that went some way to explaining why the two pre-season title favourites are currently ninth and tenth in the Premier League.
Despite losing six times in the league already this season, Alisson has been one of Liverpool's outstanding performers, routinely rescuing his side in last-ditch situations, but the established No. 1 is taking a pragmatic view when it comes to reversing the Reds fortunes in what has been a campaign that has failed to live up to expectations.

Speaking to LFCTV, he said: “I think just because of the moment we’re in, everybody wants to change everything immediately, but it’s not like that. We have to build our game up again, we have to be patient.
“I want to change it immediately as well, but we have to be honest with ourselves, we have to trust the process, we have to stay positive, stick together, and keep working on the things we’re working on. We’re working really hard. Anybody can tell we’re not doing the things we used to do. We’ll wait for things to get better for us.
“But today, in a really difficult game, we kept the clean sheet and we’ll keep the positive things that we did on the pitch and take that into the next match.”
Liverpool suffered arguably their worst defeat of the season on January 14 when they were comprehensively taken apart by Brighton in a 3-0 reversal and with no midweek game to play this week, the two sides will meet once again back at the Amex Stadium next Sunday in the FA Cup fourth round.
The tough fixture gives Jurgen Klopp's side the opportunity to put right the shortcomings of their Premier League showing and with a full week to prepare, Alisson is grateful for the time they can now spend on the training ground to prepare for it.
He added: “That’s good for us. We know that with the schedule we have in front of us, it’s not easy to have time to work. Sometimes you just rest and then have to be ready for the next game, you can’t focus on improving technical things, you just try to fix things with talking and showing some situations. But now, this week, we’re going to have the time we need to do that as well, and we have to use it and take it to the next game.”
