Liverpool kept up the pressure at the top of the Premier League table by returning to action with victory over Watford.
Diogo Jota and Fabinho were on the mark as the Reds earned a 2-0 win against the relegation strugglers in Saturday's early kick-off. The result means Jurgen Klopp’s side remain a point behind leaders Manchester City ahead of the pair meeting at the Etihad next Sunday.
But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at Anfield.

Alisson angered
Liverpool were indebted to a fine save by Alisson Becker from Watford's Juraj Kucka less than 40 seconds before Jota headed them in front.
And while the Brazilian was confident with the ball both in his hands and at his feet, he almost paid the price for tempting the visiting team a little too much with his delayed distribution.
Having taken his time over one first-half pass, Alisson released the ball just before being absolutely clattered by Cucho Hernandez.
The goalkeeper eventually picked himself up before wildly gesticulating in the direction of just about everyone. Referee Stuart Attwell merely waved play on.
Mane keen to contribute
It has been a good few months for Sadio Mane, who followed his Africa Cup of Nations triumph and League Cup-winning contribution by helping Senegal reach the World Cup finals last week.
With all the excitement of the last few days, Mane was given a rest on the bench for the start of Saturday's match.
The forward, though, was clearly super keen to play his part as he encroached on to the pitch with the game in progress while working through a particularly vigorous warm-up.
Mane eventually got his chance on 69 minutes when he replaced Mohamed Salah. Patience, Sadio.
Milner left waiting
Mind you, at least the forward wasn't left hanging around for a significant time as he awaited for his introduction from the substitutes' bench.
Towards the end, three Watford replacements were forced to wait several minutes standing on the touchline looking a little silly for the break in play that would see them come on.
And the same happened to James Milner, who had to watch on as Liverpool won a corner and were then awarded a penalty after a long VAR check which was converted by Fabinho, who had earlier emerged from the bench.
Had Milner been brought on a minute earlier, he'd almost certainly have taken the spot kick. Better luck next time.
Kop shows support
Liverpool supporters have never been shy to declare their political views, whether it be in a chant or another form of protest.
And there was a clear message sent out by the Kop ahead of the game with a large yellow banner having been unfurled in support of sacked P&O Ferries staff.
"Seafarers are not a bank balance: United we stand" it read.
As a port city, Liverpool will always have a strong voice on such matters.
