Alison Hammond spends International Women's Day with Rebel Wilson

Alison Hammond has shared a snap as she spends International Women's Day with a Hollywood star.

Each year, March 8 is the chance to celebrate the women who inspire us every day, and the Brummie presenter enjoyed the company of Rebel Wilson as this year's IWD came around.

Alison, who is best known for presenting ITV's This Morning on Fridays, shared a snap of herself with "the beauty" on Instagram.

The photo showed Alison smiling alongside a pouting Rebel, with them both holding Bafta awards.

The former Big Brother star looked radiant as she beamed into the camera.

Captioning the post, Alison said: "Happy international woman’s day, spending it with this beauty @rebelwilson.

"Interview coming soon @thismorning"

Fans were loving the two being together.

Alison has received many supportive message s in recent days, after speaking candidly about her weight struggles on Friday's instalment of This Morning.

The TV star spoke about having had obesity "for all of her life".

Speaking to the show's agony aunt Deirdre Sanders, she said: "What it is, your regulation system is out of whack.

"So obviously, you can't control wanting to eat all the time and stuff like that.

"People help people who are anorexic but they don't help people who are overweight.

"That's why so many people turn to surgery and things like that because we don't know what to do."

She was consoled by co-host Dermot O'Leary as she wept.

Alison continued: "It's so hard, and people don't realise. I'm so sorry."

Viewers were quick to offer support.

Taking to Twitter, Hayley Hickman said: "Alison showing her vulnerability and her struggles on tv is why I love her so much. She’s so relatable for so many people! I just wanted to cuddle her"
