TV presenter Alison Hammond is on track for a pay rise as she steps up to present more of This Morning after Phillip Schofield's dramatic exit.
Last month it was reported that Alison commands a £600k a year salary from ITV for her role on This Morning, with her net worth reported to be a whopping £1 million.
Yet as she takes on more of a leading role for the ITV daytime show, it's reported she could be expecting a bumper pay rise.
The bubbly TV star, who has been presenting on This Morning since 2002, has always been a viewer favourite and her increased screen time is thought to be a boost for viewer figures for ITV.
She previously fronted Fridays for This Morning alongside host Dermot O'Leary, but since Phillip Schofield's "immediate" exit she has been a regular fixture on the show.
With the jury still out on who will take over from Phillip Schofield to present alongside Holly Willoughby, it's thought that Brummie presenter Alison might be the top choice for the job.
Other candidates rumoured to be considered by ITV bosses include Craig Doyle and Dermot O'Leary as well as the idea that Holly could run This Morning in a similar way to Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain. Susanna has presented GMB for ITV with guest hosts ever since Piers Morgan famously stormed off and quit the show last year.
Alison has also secured herself more presenting work as it was announced earlier this year that she will co-present Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off alongside Noel Fielding following Matt Lucas' departure.
The ITV presenter has also put her £700k four-bedroom and three-bathroom property in the West Midlands on the market as she anticipates spending more time in London for ITV.
As a result of spending more time filming for This Morning, a move from the West Midlands to London seems imminent for Alison as she puts her family home up for sale.
A source recently told The Sun : "The timings are entirely coincidental but are, perhaps, telling. Alison loves that house but wants a fresh start. She’s incredibly in demand.
“It’s looking highly likely she will be asked to do more days a week on This Morning — and therefore she will be spending more time in London.”
