This Morning presenter and TV personality Alison Hammond has been wowing fans over the last few months with her incredible weight loss transformation.
The 47-year-old You've Got To Laugh author lost several stone after a complete lifestyle overhaul which saw her focussing on a healthier diet - including ditching one item in particular - and regular exercise. Alison, who last week began a seven-week summer break from This Morning, revealed previously that she cut out sugar in a bid to get her health under control.
This change came soon after Alison lost her mother, who was diabetic, to cancer in 2020. In the same year, the former Big Brother star was herself diagnosed with a pre-diabetic condition which caused her to re-evaluate her lifestyle.

Speaking of her diagnosis in an interview with The Sun, Alison previously said: "I've never had health issues until then. It scared me because my mum had diabetes and I want to be there for my son. I decided to do something about it. I go for walks and I cut out sugar. I feel a lot better."
Another thing Alison also avoids is the weighing scales. "I'm not weighing myself," she told the publication. "You feel it in your clothes."
But the TV personality, who revealed that at her heaviest she weighed 20 stone, said her weight journey started a little before then. In 2014, after trying many diets, she had a gastric band fitted. This method was temporary as the band was soon rejected by her body. However, some years later, she joined weight loss community WW (previously Weight Watchers) to reach her goal, partnering up with them as an ambassador in 2019.
Writing on Instagram at the time, she said: "OMG I am so excited to announce that I’m partnering with Weight Watchers in a bid to lead a healthier life and shift those extra pounds. This is something that I’ve wanted to achieve for a long time and I haven’t managed it on my own, so I went to my local workshop and met my lovely wellness coach Andrea and the rest is history! I’m falling in love with the journey and hope you will support me as much as you can!"
By switching to a healthier diet and exercising more, the mother-of-one not only saw the pounds falling off and herself glowing, but she reversed her pre-diabetic condition too.
She added: "I'm doing really well. I’ve been doing that for a while now, and you know something? I feel fitter, I feel stronger. I might not look perfect yet, but personally, I’m perfect, full stop"
Her new diet consists of more fruit and vegetables as well as increasing her water intake after realising thirst was being mistaken for hunger.
Alongside a better diet, Alison - who's lifestyle isn't the only thing that has made her feel better in recent months as she revealed last month a budding new romance (read more on that here) - follows an exercise regime with the help of a personal trainer which sees her weight and circuit training.
She said: "I’m doing a bit more exercise. I now have a personal trainer and he’s amazing. I work at my own pace – we do circuits and I absolutely love it."
Fans have praised Alison in Instagram for her amazing transformation. One said: "You look stunning Alison. You seem to have lost loads of weight", while another wrote: "You look so amazing Alison".
