Alison Hammond responds to Dermot O'Leary over feud reports

Alison Hammond has responded to claims that her relationship with Demot O’Leary is “strained”. The TV presenter has broken her silence on Instagram amid the claims about her relationship with co-star.

Alison is presenting with Dermot from 10am all week on ITV This Morning, with Holly Willoughby taking the summer off. Dermot shared a snap of the pair backstage today, reports Birmingham Live.

"Summer’s here!," he wrote. "Looking forward to this week with my @alisonhammond55 - we’re on from 10am!" Alison cheekily wrote in the comments: "Cut the tension with a knife."

Rob replied: "@alisonhammond55 to be fair @dermotoleary has everything defensively crossed whilst your hand seems to be creeping towards him whilst you have a cheeky glint in your eye."

Great typed: "@alisonhammond55 pahahahahahaha." Instagra, user Rachael said: "@alisonhammond55 you two absolutely hate eachother.. - bloody news paper."

Angela wrote: "Don't know where they got that crazy story about you two falling out, they love trying to stir up trouble when there is none. Everyone can see you are best buddies, you can't act that, everyone needs to leave you alone. Can't wait to see the shows this week, will watch as many as work allows. X"

Dani said: "Beautiful partnership and I love watching you two!" An anonymous source quoted in the Mail On Sunday claimed bosses “fear” a worsening mood between its two stars could leave them needing to present more apart.

But an ITV spokesperson has hit back at the reports. They told Metro.co.uk: “Alison, Dermot and Holly are all valued members of the This Morning family and all enjoy working together on the show, as well as having friendships outside of the show.”

But ITV hit back and said: “This is absolute nonsense. There’s no tension between Alison and Dermot, quite the opposite.”

ITV This Morning continues to air each weekday from 10am.
