Alison Hammond puts £700k house on the market as Phillip Schofield quits This Morning

Alison Hammond reportedly placed her £700,000 on sale on the same day her former This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield departed the show.

Over the weekend, Phil announced he was immediately leaving the ITV programme after 21 years as the face of it.

Amid the ongoing drama between Phillip and Holly Willoughby, co-stars Alison and Dermot O'Leary have taken their place on the sofa to present the show.

Alison has been a fan-favourite thanks to her bubbly personality and incredible interviewing techniques so it's no surprise people have been hoping for her to have a more permanent position.

It was reported that the 48-year-old put her four-bedroom, three-bedroom home in the West Midlands on sale on Thursday.

She spent a lot of time over the years recording segments for the ITV programme from her home kitchen.

She even showed off her gorgeous garden makeover.

A source recently told The Sun : "The timings are entirely coincidental but are, perhaps, telling. Alison loves that house but wants a fresh start. She’s incredibly in demand.

“It’s looking highly likely she will be asked to do more days a week on This Morning — and therefore she will be spending more time in London.”

ITV is filmed in West London and Alison has been a hot commodity in the industry in recent years.

The Mirror has contacted her reps for comment.

Fans will recognise her kitchen area from the many segments she filmed over the coronavirus pandemic.

Alison and Dermot fronted Monday's programme and awkwardly paid tribute to Phil in a short message.

She kicked off the show with a tribute from 'everyone at This Morning'.

The star said: "Now we can't start today's show without paying tribute to the man who has spent the last two decades sitting on this sofa – Phillip Schofield."

Dermot continued: "Everyone on and off the screen at ITV and This Morning want to say a huge thank you to Phil for what he's done to make this show a success over the last 21 years."

Alison concluded: "Quite simply we all know he's one of the best live television broadcasters this country has ever had and we, and all the team, wish him all the best for the future."
