Alison Hammond looks like a Love Island star in bikini snap… but all is not as it seems

Alison Hammond appeared to have made a startling transformation in new photos shared on Instagram on Monday.

The This Morning presenter, 48, resembled the look of a Love Island star as she was seen glamorously posing in bikini pictures posted on the social media platform.

In one photo, Hammond was seen showing off a bright smile as she wore a hot pink plunging top and had her hair styled in tumbling loose waves.

A second picture saw the ITV host sitting on a white couch rocking a black bikini top with matching leggings and a pair of silver dangly earrings.

As followers were left surprised at Hammond’s new transformation, she shared in the caption that her new look was not real and was in fact an artificial intelligence (AI) generated image.

“I could get used to AI!! @thismorning," Hammond wrote. “#artificialintelligence disclaimer: This is not me !!"

Fans shared their reactions to the AI images in the comment section.

Hammond also shared an AI image of co-host Dermot O’Leary (Alison Hammond/Instagram)

One person wrote: “This is too much!! You are too gorgeous”.

A second said: “You don’t need any enhancements. You’re a natural beauty. Keep doing your thing sis”.

Fellow Big Brother alum Kate Lawler joked: “Cracking pair…of earrings babs.”

Another fan added: “I think you look better before”.

Referring to an AI image Hammond shared of Dermot O’Leary on Instagram Stories, her co-host wrote: “Not sure about mine!”

The photo was much less flattering for O’Leary, 49, as the presenter appeared wonky-eyed in the shirtless image.

Hammond’s AI transformation was shared after speaking to love guru Stefan-Pierre Tomlin on This Morning, who suggested that people use AI images to enhance their dating profiles.

O’Leary commented on the show that this tactic might be seen as “catfishing”.

Tomlin responded: “I’ve done a lot of research into what catfishing is and there are six definitions of catfish.

"Catfish is someone who makes a fake profile to deceive someone in love and we’re not doing that. We’re enhancing and using technology to big up your success rate in dating."
