Alison Hammond jokes Holly and Phillip may be replaced on This Morning amid 'feud'

This Morning on Friday was hosted by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary but, amid the ongoing feud between Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Alison made a cheekily remark about the future of the ITV show.

During This Morning's discussion segment, Alison, Dermot, Gyles Brandreth and Carol Vorderman discussed the implications and modern day consequences of AI technology.

During a discussion about technology, Alison said: "We could be replaced one day! Remember when Holly and Phil had that robot in with that woman, it was amazing, I couldn't believe it.

"Presenters could maybe be replaced by AI. It's kind of like a cloning in a way, and you don't actually have to be there."

Alison and Dermot failed to address Holly and Phillip's reported "feud" despite it dominating headlines this week.

Holly and Phil put on a united front this week as they returned to host This Morning together in the usual fashion.

However, rumours of a feud between the two presenters refuse to go away after Phillip shared a statement addressing reports of his close friendship with Holly cooling as he said things "haven't been easy" for the pair.

Bookmakers have now tipped the duo to split as a presenting duo before the end of this year.

Phillip's odds of being replaced as a This Morning host have hit an all-time low, according to Ladbrokes, with the bookies making it just 1/4 that Holly and Phil go their separate ways in the coming months.

Jessica O'Reilly of Ladbrokes said earlier this week: "Holly and Phil may have been all smiles on This Morning today, however they aren't fooling anyone and the odds suggest it's a case of when, not if, the duo split."

It's been reported Holly was left blindsided after her co-host Phillip released the statement addressing their friendship amid rumours of a "feud".

He told The Sun: "The last few weeks haven't been easy for either of us. My family went through a real ordeal. And Holly's support throughout meant the world to me, as did the support of my bosses at ITV, my editor Martin Frizell and the whole This Morning family, including our amazing viewers."

However, a source subsequently told The Mail that Holly was "deeply upset" over allegedly being kept in the dark over Phillip's brother Timothy facing child sex offences charges and found out about the trial when her co-star took time off This Morning.
