Alison Hammond in This Morning 'scuffle' with co-star as Dermot O'Leary steps in

Things got a bit out of hand on Friday's This Morning, when Alison Hammond was involved in a 'scuffle' with co-star Alice Beer, forcing Dermot O'Leary to step in front of them and take the show to an ad break.

Former Watchdog presenter Alice appeared right at the start of the ITV daytime programme to reveal that she would be showcasing some of the best present ideas for pupils to give to teachers this year, as the end of the school year approaches. After that teaser, Alice was given the spotlight and pretty much the full run of the This Morning studio, with around 20 minutes yo o, as she took Alison and Dermot through some of the gifts on offer.

These included personalised chocolate bars and notebooks, tote bags, dried flowers, 'Best Teacher' candles and books and cinema vouchers and having had her eye caught by a number of items showed off by Alice, Alison picked up the tote bag from behind her and started putting things in it, as Alice reprimanded her, shouting: "Stop nicking things!"

Undeterred, as Dermot remarked: "You know the drill Beer," Alison continued to put things in the bag, replying: "It's not stealing. This is just to put in the dressing room so that everyone can use it."

Alice's segment came to an end minutes later, with her then walking over to Alison and telling her: "Give me my stuff back, come on," with Alison ignoring her and pretending to get on with the show, before adding: "She's been eating chocolates!"

Alice then reached into shot to try and retrieve the bag of goodies, with Alison refusing to loosen her grip as she read from the autocue in front of her. As the two women fought over the bag, Dermot stepped in front of them to deliver the next link, with Alison pretending to throw a punch behind him, as Dermot told viewers at home: "Nothing to see here."

As the camera panned out, ready to go to the ads, a scream of "Oh my god" could be heard in the background, as Alison and Alice continued to tussle at the back of the studio.
