Alison Hammond was left in hysterics as she appalled This Morning co-star Gyles Brandreth with her response to angry residents in a Norwich village trying to ban weddings in their area.
Two weeks on from the ITV show scooping the Best Daytime accolade at this year's National Television Awards, former Big Brother star Alison was back at the helm alongside her usual Friday co-presenter Dermot O'Leary, when they were joined in the studio by Gyles and another regular contributor, Matthew Wright, to discuss some of the day's top news stories.
After reacting to the news that Prince William won't be going to the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, despite being President of the Football Association, the group moved onto signs put up by fed up villagers in Oxnead, who are becoming sick of having to deal with weddings guests 'six days a week.'

Alison responded: "People are paying 15,000 for these venues to have their weddings and, unfortunately, when they get there they've got these protestors saying they're not welcome." Taking an opposing view, Matthew told her: "Or, you could turn it on its head and say you've got people who've lived there all their lives, who've suddenly, in the last 18 months, had their normal, peaceful existence ruined by people being unreasonable."
After Gyles talked about how much bigger scale weddings were these days, Alison told him: "Imagine it Gyles; you've got people urinating," as her guest sat back and screwed his face up. Alison tried to continue, adding: "You've got the Sweeeeet Caroliiiine, every single night you hear Sweet Caroline, you know what I mean?" But a visibly disgusted Gyles clearly wasn't on the same wavelength as the host as he fired back: "What sort of weddings are you going to?!"
Equally perplexed, Dermot interrupted: "I love that that was the first thing you said: 'Imagine it, people urinating.' First thing that comes to your mind at a wedding." Gyles then looked at Alison and remarked: "No matter how glamorous your fascinator, I am not going to a wedding with you," as Alison sat creased up with laughter on the sofa.
