Alison Hammond 'fires' Dermot O'Leary as she kicks him out of ITV This Morning studio

Alison Hammond was clearly inspired after having The Apprentice's 2023 finalists on This Morning as she 'fired' Dermot O'Leary and kicked him out of the studio. The hosting duo were back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Friday (March 24) when they were joined by Marnie Swindells and Rochelle Anthony.

During Thursday night's final of The Apprentice, viewers watched the two women battle it out to be Lord Alan Sugar's next business partner as they presented their ideas with the help of some familiar faces for the first time.

In the end, Lord Sugar hired boxing gym owner Marnie as his latest business partner following an all-female finale after Marnie, a 28-year-old court advocate and gold medal-winning boxer from London, and 35-year-old salon owner Rochelle took on the most important business pitch of their careers so far and attempt to convince Lord Sugar and industry experts that they were worth the investment.

And after chatting to Marnie and Rochelle, Alison gave her best Lors Sugar impression as she turned to her co-host and said: "Dermot, you're fired!" as the Apprentice stars laughed next to them.

Alison then continued: "I've found you a new job over the road, okay? There's a little cat cafe," to which Dermot quipped: "It's a promotion!"

The 48-year-old was then eager for former X Factor host Dermot to leave but it was for good reason. As Alison handed over to the programme's resident vet, Dr Scott, who was at the cat cafe, as he told Dermot: "Come over and join me and we can have a little chat."

Alison then playfully pushed Dermot out of shot, saying "Come on, you can go now," before reading her next link. And before the cameras switched from the studio to the ad break, the new Great British Bake Off co-host was seen making herself comfortable.

The mum-of-one could be seen leaning to each side, kicking her legs up in the air as Rochelle and Marnie giggled at her antics. Alison was then seen on her back with her legs heading for the air as she took a moment to enjoy being solo on the sofa.
