Fans of Alison Hammond were left stunned to find out her age as she prepares to celebrate her birthday.
The popular presenter initially rose to fame after entering the Big Brother house back in 2002, spending just fifteen days on the reality programme. Since then her career has gone from strength to strength, with Alison becoming a household name.
Ahead of her appearance on Friday's instalment of This Morning, the TV personality shared an update on Instagram.

Posting a video of clips with her alongside good friend and co-host Dermot O'Leary, Alison said: "Happy Friday !! My birthday weekend starts with the wonderful @thismorning and the lovely @dermotoleary see you at 10 am on ITV babs". [sic]
Her birthday celebrations were then discussed on the show when it aired. But after one fan shared how old Alison will be turning on Sunday (February 5), in a This Morning fan group on Facebook, many people were taken aback.
The woman posted: "Happy (early) birthday to our Alison. She turns 48 on Sunday". Other Facebook users rushed to comment on the post, which also included a photo of Alison.
One said: "Not having it she is 48, she looks amazing", while a second said: "Happy birthday Alison, 48 never looked better". A third said: "Love her, Friday's This Mornings are my fave", and a fourth added: "She looks incredible".
On Friday evening, Alison returned to Instagram to thank "you all for my birthday wishes". In a video, she said: "Thank you so, so much, it means so much, how are you all? You having a lovely Friday? Ready for the weekend?"
Alison also revealed she shares her birthday with her son, Aiden, who will turn 18 on Sunday.
