Alison Hammond dropped a hint about This Morning's future as she addressed the ongoing controversy.
The broadcaster fronted Monday's episode of ITV's flagship daytime programme alongside Dermot O'Leary. It was the first episode since former host, Phillip Schofield, quit ITV.
Mr Schofield stepped away from the channel with immediate effect last week as he admitted to having an affair with a runner while working on the show. Dermot and Alison broke their silence on the story before they discussed today's headlines.

Dermot said: "We all know that we happen to be in the news at the moment and of course we appreciate. But from all of us and the team but we just wanted to say that we love making this show."
Alison agreed with Dermot's statement and declared her commitment to continuing with a formula that has made This Morning such a hit with fans. She said: "We really do and that's exactly what we're going to do. We're going to continue doing that so let's go on with our first news story."
Mr Schofield took to Instagram ahead of the episode to shut down rumours that This Morning is a toxic work environment. He said: "Now I no longer work on This Morning I am free to say this. I hope you have noticed that it's the same handful of people with a grudge against me or the show who seem to have the loudest voice.
"This Morning is the best show to work on, with the best people. In all the years I worked there there was no toxicity. You can listed to those persistently loud voices if you like. But the thousands of guests over the years, thousands of staff and crew, hundreds of presenters and contributors all know, it is a family of wonderful, talented, kind, hard working people."
