Alison Hammond was left in a state of shock on Wednesday's This Morning over a confession made by TV chef Phil Vickery, with co-host Dermot O'Leary equally startled.
Dermot and Alison have been upgraded from their usual slot as Friday presenters to take over for a full week as Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby take an extended break for Easter, weeks after they were both forced to miss the ITV show due to Covid.
While viewers have been divided on whether Alison and Dermot are the best replacements for Phillip and Holly, Alison has been revelling on being given a more prominent role, posting a series of photos and videos on her social media.

The duo were back at the helm of the programme on Wednesday, when they were joined, right at the top of the show by This Morning regular Phil, who was poised and ready in the kitchen to cook something up. Teasing what Phil would be doing later in the show, without actually mentioning Nandos by name, Alison said: "How do you fancy the taste of a very famous chicken restaurant for half of the price?"
Ex Big Brother star Alison then passed over to Phil in the studio kitchen, adding: "Morning Phil - this looks great!" And it was then that Phil made his confession, replying: "I have to admit, I've never actually eaten in this that restaurant, but this is what I came up with."
Dermot swiftly shouted: "What?!" Equally astounded, Alison responded: "You've never eaten in that restaurant?! You're missing out babes. You are missing out."
While some viewers were as shocked as Alison and Dermot by Phil's lack of Nandos visits, another responded: "I've never had a Nandos either!"
