Alfredo Morelos roasted by Celtic star Greg Taylor as fans claim Rangers striker is branded 'fatboy'

There were fiery exchanges aplenty at Ibrox as tempers flared among Celtic and Rangers players in a pressure-cooker 2-2 derby draw.

It was an enthralling clash in Govan as Daizen Maeda pounced on an Alfredo Morelos pass to make it 1-0 to the champions. Ryan Kent and James Tavernier, from the penalty spot, goals put Michael Beale's hosts into the lead but a Kyogo Furuhashi leveller late in the day ensured that Ange Postecoglou's men will remain nine points clear at the top of the league.

Tensions threatened to boil over and one flashpoint came when Greg Taylor and Alfredo Morelos came face-to-face while the former received treatment. There was clearly a war of words raging with some fans alleging the Scotland star shouted 'fat boy' at the Colombian as he received treatment for what is reportedly a hamstring injury and forced him off. Morelos meanwhile was pointing at the Scotland international and was eventually ushered away by referee John Beaton.

It was an improved performance from recent derbies by Rangers but they were left to rue a late leveller that leaves them three games back. But there was still time for tensions elsewhere. Borna Barisic and Hoops captain Callum McGregor came face-to-face. Eventually things blew over and play carried on in a typically fiery affair.
