Alfredo Morelos’ agent Michael Gorman has rubbished reports linking the Rangers star with a £20 million move to Zenit St Petersburg.
The Russian giants are looking to strengthen in the forward areas with the Russian transfer window closing tomorrow evening.
Reports from South America have suggested that Zenit were eyeing a late deal for the in-form Scottish Premiership champion but Gorman insists the Colombian is going nowhere.
Speaking to Sport24, Gorman said: “This information is not true.
“No proposals have been received from Russia.”
Zenit sit two points clear at the top of the Russian league table and go head-to-head with Real Betis in the Europa League on Thursday.
Rangers were always unlikely to cash in on Morelos form at this stage of the season. Especially with so much still to play for.
Morelos has scored four goals in his last four games and could be pivitol for Rangers during the remainder of the season.
Rangers are still competing for trophies on three fronts with Morelos scoring in an emphatic 4-2 Europa League last 32 first leg victory over German giants Borussia Dortmund last Thursday.
Although the Gers fell three points behind arch-rivals Celtic in the title race after a disappointing 1-1 draw with Dundee United on Sunday.
