Alfredo Morelos issues defiant Rangers response after Greg Taylor 'fatboy' jibe

Alfredo Morelos has seemingly hit back at Greg Taylor’s “fatboy” Old Firm jibe with a cryptic Instagram post.

The Rangers striker was on the end of some trash talk from the Celtic left back as Taylor was receiving treatment during Monday’s 2-2 draw between the bitter rivals at Ibrox. Morelos was seen pointing in the Scotland international’s face as he sat on the turf awaiting the Hoops physios, with TV footage appearing to show Taylor telling Morelos to “shut it, fatboy.” El Bufalo was at fault for Celtic’s first goal, sending a stray pass straight to Daizen Maeda, who beat James Tavernier before slotting home.

El Bufalo’s form had been on the up under Michael Beale after enduring a torrid time under Gio van Bronckhorst, who dropped him for attitude and fitness issues, while the goals dried up. Strikes against Hibs and Motherwell suggested that the forward had regained some confidence. He missed the win over Ross County through injury after Beale revealed he had been playing through the pain barrier.

He didn't manage to find the net against Celtic. And the 26-year-old has taken to social media to show defiance to his critics. In a post captioned in Spanish, Morelos posted an image of a wolf with text that translates as: "They laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at them because they're all the same."
