Alfredo Morelos delivered a nine word response to Rangers' heroics in PSV as he roared: "This is my team."
The Colombian hitman was left at home as Giovanni van Bronckhorst made a huge call over the striker citing various concerns including fitness levels and his attitude in the early part of the campaign. He came on at Easter Road last weekend and was sent off 13 minutes later by referee Willie Collum as the Light Blues dropped their first Premiership points.
As his team-mates were jetting out to the Netherlands, the 26-year-old was snapped at the gym as he appeared to take the message on board from his boss. Following last night's win the Dutchman discussed the striker insisting he was part of the squad and the heroic 1-0 win was a 'very positive' moment for everyone, including Morelos. That feeling was echoed as the Rangers star took to social media to express his delight following the single goal triumph at the Philips Stadion to take the tie 3-2 on aggregate.
Sharing a Rangers image that said 'We are back' with an image of Van Bronckhorst and some of his team-mates, he wrote: "This is my team!! We are back!! Congratulations boys!!"
Antonio Colak was the hero as he netted the only goal of the game after Malik Tillman did superb to capitalise on a mistake in the home defence.
