Alfredo Morelos arrives in Turkey for talks with Fenerbahce

Alfredo Morelos has arrived in Turkey as he looks set to finally seal his future.

The former Rangers striker is edging closer to joining Fenerbahce.

TV cameras picked up on the Colombian, 27, arriving in the country overnight, with further talks with the Turkish giants expected today.

The reports linking Morelos with Fenerbahce first emerged through journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu.

He tweeted: "Alfredo Morelos and his Representative Martin Camano will be in Istanbul tonight at 1am to hold transfer talks with Fenerbahce and for a health checkup."

The frontman has been without a club since he left Ibrox at the end of last season. He spent six years in Glasgow.

Should a deal go through, he could team up with former close teammate Ryan Kent, who joined Fenerbahce earlier this summer following his departure from Rangers.

Meanwhile, Andy Halliday reckons Brandon Barker is one of the best players he has ever watched in training.

The former Rangers midfielder, now at Hearts, hailed the winger over his stunning training ground showings at Auchenhowie.

Barker - a product of the Manchester City youth academy - made just 27 appearances for Rangers scoring three goals in the process.

And while he failed to set the heather alight under Steven Gerrard, Halliday insists Barker's - now at Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus - quality was evident during training sessions.
